Job Description

We’re seeking an extremely bright, hard-working, Business Development Manager to proactively prospect and develop new business and maintain existing account base. The ideal candidate would have the persistence and instincts of a hunter, a personable, relationship-building style, along with intelligence to understand and sell the nuances of what makes Grey Sky Films and the best digital video production agency in the area.  

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a business development professional with strong understanding of marketing and marketing research/analytics within the digital video marketing industry.  If you are currently in an ad agency environment and are looking for the freedom to sell, grow your accounts and lead your own successful sales efforts, than Grey Sky Films is the place for you. This is a full-time position offering base salary, health insurance, and commission/bonus based on performance.

You’ll act as an important link between the Grey Sky Films team and our clients. You’ll be responsible for fully understanding our clients’ brands, industries, goals and objectives and be able to clearly communicate those to the rest of our team. This role will involve handling multiple accounts at the same time, so the ability to multi-task is a must!


  • Sell our full line of Marketing, digital/online and social media video services to mid-level companies
  • Generate Leads and Opportunities through outbound, strategic phone and internet prospecting
  • Strategic cold calling to leverage business from new companies
  • Networking and Lead Source Generation at onsite and offsite events
  • Professional persistence and the ability to close business
  • Achieving monthly Quota of Qualified Opportunities
  • A track record of reaching goals and driving significant revenue in previous positions
  • Empathy to understand client needs
  • The ability to switch gears quickly as the prospecting conversation warrants
  • Ability to develop creative ideas
  • Knowledgeably present our services and products to potential customers using provided collateral and tools
  • Collaborate with Creative, Production and Post Production Team to develop and execute creative
  • Create detailed proposals and estimates for projects
  • Present creative ideas to prospects and clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects
  • Manage contacts, prospects, and deals in CRM software
  • Manage projects using Project Management Software


  • Candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant marketing or media agency experience (video, film, TV), have knowledge of trends in video marketing industry
  • At least 2 years of B-to-B sales experience and must work well in a fast-paced creative team environment
  • Knowledge of digital media landscape, challenges in the marketplace and understanding of the competition
  • Specific knowledge around video production, digital video, social media and branded content
  • Ability to interpret industry trends in the video marketing industry, and successfully tailor media offerings to provide solutions and maximum revenue generation for clients
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • High energy and a strong attention to detail a must
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills – both written and oral
  • Willing to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
  • Familiar with relationship based selling
