A Commercial Campaign for Withum+

Withum is an international accounting firm, assisting their clients around the world in advisory, tax and audit services. But they’re more than just CPAs – they offer a multitude of services to their clients including tax services. The problem? Most of those services and technology solutions don’t receive the attention that tax services do. Enter Grey Sky Films! The Withum Marketing team approached us with a request to create a commercial campaign for broadcast, web, social. They also wanted to use the videos to help launch their .cpa landing page platform. From Forensic Services and Artificial Intelligence to Digital Technology Transformation and Business Consulting, Withum does it all. We were asked to highlight a handful of their least known services. Specifically Cloud Solutions, Cyber Incident Response, Outsourced Accounting Services and It Modernization. Here at Grey Sky, we love comedy. We love to make people laugh. And with the Withum commercial campaign request, we recognized an opportunity to do just that. We developed creative concepts that take each of the services that Withum wanted to highlight, and personified them. We created physical, visual representations of each problem so that a Withum Advisor could interact with it. And in the end, save the day! For example, a business owner would literally be buried in paper and the answer is Cloud Solutions! With the help of our client, we cast actual Withum employees to play every role in the spots. They are a very talented group! We filmed for two full days at Buttertree Studios in East Hanover with our main actors. Then we filmed another day at the beautiful and recently renovated Withum office in Parsippany where we captured all the Advisor scenes. Set design was an important aspect of this commercial campaign. Setting the “problem” against a plain white back drop with just a few office-like props was key to really making the advisors, aka the “solution”, and the Withum office stand out. We even rented a classic 1980’s era computer to demonstrate what happens when your old systems, don’t communicate properly with your new systems. In the end, we produced four :30 commercials for broadcast, as well as :15 versions of each for their social media campaign, plus four radio spots. We also put together a short and sweet behind-the-scenes look of how we produced this commercial campaign. We had such a blast working on this project. Check out all the videos here.
