20 years ago today, October 21st, Mark Serao and Chris Vaglio started Grey Sky Films. It’s been a whirlwind two decades and we’re so grateful for all the love and support of our friends, families, colleagues and clients.

20 YEARS OF GSF
We’ve accomplished a lot in the last 20 years. We’ve done a lot, seen a lot, and been a lot of places. A LOT! With two decades worth of work, it was quite the adventure to cull it down into this five minute reel – and well worth it. Every shot brings back memories, and reminds us of why we do what we do.
THE BEGINNING
Twenty years ago, a young Mark Serao called his best friend, Chris Vaglio on the phone and asked him if he wanted to start a music video production company. They both had a music background – Mark played the drums, Chris the guitar, and they had both recently graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in filmmaking and video production. Chris whole-heartedly agreed and thus began Grey Sky Films.
THE GROWTH
Over the last twenty years we’ve encountered so many unique experiences. From filming Roger Waters playing “Wish You Were Here” to developing subscription based content with their IMPACT Now video series platform (later called VidDuo, and PDV or Performance Driven Video). We’ve traveled to Italy, Spain, Israel, London, Switzerland, and more, and have been up and down the east coast, west coast, and everywhere in between. We’ve produced videos for all industries – from fashion and beauty, to food and hospitality, industrial to educational, healthcare to automotive, and more.
SUCCESS
Our clients are our biggest fans, and we wouldn’t be here without them. It’s not easy to start a business, and because of our clients, we’ve beat the odds. They’ve invested in us, given us their trust, and we’ve in return created video content that helps them grow and succeed. Their success is our success and our greatest source of pride.
